OUUUUUUCH!
Good thing is
Namco kept the Xevious gameplay... never change a winning team.. meaning u got
ground targets to hit with "B" button and aerials with "A".
In addition Namco copied the Armor-gauge from Capcoms 1942-series, another nice
move.
And now the "Ouch" from above: Screens-long stupid enemy formations and all look the same... Long levels not always promise to be a good thing if u got no ideas. Endbosses are okay, but no banana (eg Ship-endboss parts waves, but otherwise the sea is a blue unicolored carpet). No "WOW!" effects and... Powerups?..Hello?...Please? A 1992-shooter and no powerups or weapon-changes?! Did i miss anything? An half rotten banana could program better ideas into a shooter.

One thing that DOES rock is the "soundtrack". Ull destroy ur enemies while headbanging! I bet. Good work on that one Namco, at least.
