Parodius series feature comic style shooter play along with genious soundtrax. Loads of nice ideas!!!
Most Parodius games were released on PSX or Saturn.
Similar shooters from Konami are Nemesis/Gradius and Salamander/Lifeforce. While not featuring comic style grafix they play very much alike. In my opinion all these games should be owned by a REAL shooter fan. They are classix and even today very well playable.
